Meta Search Engines
Search several major engines at once. Meta-search engines do not crawl the Web or have their own database, they act as a middle agent, passing on the query to the major engines and then returning the results. Use when researching to get a quick look at what might be out there.

Search Engines use computer programs called spiders or robots to crawl the Web and log the words on each page. With a search engine, keywords related to a topic are typed into a search "box."  Tip: General and fast, use the advanced search and  look at the first 40 items
